Background information
Restaurant The White Room at the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam is one of the most renowned culinary addresses in the Netherlands. The name derives from the historical designation "De Witte Zaal", under which the restaurant first opened in 1885. The listed room is considered Amsterdam's oldest restaurant in its original condition. Signature Chef Jacob Jan Boerma, who earned three Michelin stars at his restaurant De Leest in Vaassen, brings his purist, honest cuisine to Amsterdam: with respect for the finest Dutch ingredients and inspired by influences from around the world, he creates dishes that unite sweet and sour, bitter and fresh flavours in unexpected ways. Chef de Cuisine Tristan de Boer leads the team and translates Boerma's culinary vision into practice.
