Background information In March 2026, Valamar opened the new Pical Resort, Valamar Collection. With an investment of 200 million euros, it is the group's most extensive project to date and new flagship of the Croatian holiday provider. Located at Parenzana Beach Park, just a short walk from the historic old town of Poreč with its UNESCO-listed Euphrasian Basilica, the resort redefines five-star hospitality on the Adriatic. Elevated design, the three standalone accommodation concepts Pical Hotel, Pical Family Hotel and Pical Suites, Croatia's first ESPA spa, and exceptional culinary offerings are among the resort's highlights. A culinary highlight is the collaboration with top chefs Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra, whose restaurant Harry's Piccolo Poreč was awarded its own star in the MICHELIN Guide Croatia 2026 just three months after opening. Through Istria's most comprehensive Dine Around concept, guests can also dine flexibly across eleven Valamar-owned restaurants. The Pical also features eleven pools, three beaches, a state-of-the-art bike center, and a diverse children's program. In addition, the resort is home to Istria's largest and most modern event center, with space for up to 1,200 participants.
