Background information
Nestling between vineyards in-between Eppan and Tramin lays the small township of Kaltern, the home of the SEELEITEN Lake Spa Hotel. The history of the hotel started with Franz Moser, who took over the initial four star hotel in 1984 and lead it to be part of the top hotels in South Tyrol. In 2012/13 the hotel went under big construction, during which the prominent wooden facade was built. Since 2020 the sons, Dominic and Daniel Moser, took over the five star hotel. With them the change of name to SEELEITEN Lake Spa Hotel and reorientation to a luxury wellness hotel for active travellers happened. The Kalterer lake is known as one of the warmest lakes of the alps and is a hot spot for water sports and active holidays. Part of the hotel’s activity programme are hiking and biking excursions, as well as fitness, wellness, golfing and tennis arrangements. Weekly tastings at the hotel’s own vineyard and the brewery, which opened in 2021, are very popular amongst guests and visitors.
