Background information
In March 2026, Valamar will open the new Pical Resort, Valamar Collection. With an investment of €200 million, it is the Croatian holiday provider's most ambitious project to date and its new flagship property. Located at Parenzana Beach Park, just minutes from the UNESCO-protected old town of Poreč, it redefines five-star hospitality on the Adriatic coast. Sophisticated design, three distinct accommodation concepts, Croatia's first ESPA spa, high-end cuisine, and a comprehensive range of family, leisure, and activity options are just some of what the resort has to offer. A culinary highlight is the collaboration with top chefs Matteo Metullio and Davide De Pra, who will bring their Trieste-based two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Harry's Piccolo, to Pical. Guests will also enjoy Istria's most comprehensive dine-around concept which allows them to dine flexibly at eleven Valamar-owned restaurants, including the renowned JAZ by Ana Roš and Miramare by Fratelli Cerea. The Pical also boasts eleven swimming pools, three beaches, and a state-of-the-art bike center. Children enjoy a diverse range of activities, from sports and creative programs to exciting STEM workshops. Furthermore, the Pical Resort is home to Istria's largest and most modern event center. A fully equipped congress hall and seven flexible meeting rooms can accommodate events for up to 1,200 participants.
