Background information
Mamula Island is a restored 19th-century fortress that has been transformed into a boutique luxury hotel. This small island is situated at the entrance of the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel, which has opened its doors to the first guests in March 2023, offers 32 elegant rooms and suites, a spa, several restaurants and bars, three pools, a sun terrace, and a beach. Additionally, as a place of historical significance, a memorial to the fort's past reminds visitors of its history. This memorial is accessible all year round to both hotel guests and locals. The Bay of Kotor, with its impressive cliffs and the turquoise waters of the Adriatic, is an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation and active vacations. Located in the northwest of the country, it serves as a perfect starting point for beach vacations, boat trips, and excursions to the surrounding national parks, including Biogradska Gora and Lovćen, as well as the historic royal city of Cetinje.
