Background information
The Büchelbergerei in the Franconian Lake District near Gunzenhausen is a labour of love for siblings Almut and Axel Böker. Together, they planned the chalet village from scratch, built it with regional partners and designed every detail themselves. The design is the work of Almut, who has a keen sense of materials, architecture and atmosphere. The result is a collection of individual chalets that combine modern design with traditional half-timbered elements, bringing together a sense of grounding, style and comfort. Each chalet is equipped with a private sauna, a hot tub and its own garden. Whether as a peaceful oasis for couples, a spacious retreat for families or luxurious group accommodation – individual wishes can be flexibly accommodated by connecting neighbouring chalets, and four-legged friends are also welcome. Early in the morning, a breakfast basket with regional products is delivered directly to the chalet. The chalet village itself is characterised by the concept of slow living – a place of tranquillity and individuality where your own rhythm counts and the motto ‘Everything is possible, nothing is mandatory’ applies. With a water temperature of 30 degrees, the heated outdoor pool is available to all guests all year round. Right on the doorstep, lakes with free access, cycling and hiking trails invite you to exercise in nature, while historic towns such as Nuremberg, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Donauwörth and Ingolstadt offer variety for excursions and city strolls.
